PUBLICATION AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE
WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT
SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY AND ASSOCIATED COUNTIES REGIONAL PLANNING UNIT
REGIONAL PLAN
AND THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD OF MADERA COUNTY
LOCAL PLAN FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1 2021 TO JUNE 30, 2025

 

The Workforce Development Board of Madera hereby provides notice of publication of the San Joaquin Valley and Associated Counties (SJVAC) Regional Planning Unit (RPU) Regional Plan and the Madera County Local Workforce Development Area Local Plan which provides guidance for implementation of the Federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in Madera County and the San Joaquin Valley Region. These plans have been developed in response to guidance from the California Employment Development Department. The Regional Plan provides strategic direction for the workforce development system and the Local Plan provides operational guidance and policy priorities for the Madera County Local Workforce Development Area.

 

The draft Plans will be submitted to the California Workforce Development Board for review on April 30, 2021. Public Comments regarding the draft plans will be accepted through April 14, 2021.

 

Any comments regarding the regional plan may be sent via email to sjvac@stanworkforce.com or mailed to Stanislaus County Workforce Development, ATTN: Regional Organizer, P.O. Box 3389 Modesto, CA 95353-3389.

 

Any comments regarding the local plan may be sent to nmartin@maderaworkforce.org or mailed to the Workforce Development Board of Madera County, Attn: Executive Director, P.O. Box 1205, Madera, CA, 93639.

 

All comments will receive a response and copies of comments and related responses will be forwarded to the California Workforce Development Board as a part of the review process.

 

The Plans are available on the Workforce Development Board website at www.maderaworkforce.org/public-notices-rfps/. Copies are also available at the Workforce Assistance Center at 2037 W. Cleveland Ave., Madera, CA, 93637.
