Grow My Skills

Qualifying for the job or career you want may require specialized training to build your skills. If you are trying to get a promotion in your current job, you may need a new certification, credential, or college classes to make it happen. Changing jobs, working in a new industry, or being laid off and trying to get back to work often require you to “upskill” or learn new skills required for 21st Century jobs.

There are various forms of training; such as On the Job Training (earn while you learn at an employer site); Customized Training; Apprenticeship Training, Occupational Skills Training, Skills Upgrading and Retraining and Transitional Job Training.  The Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) in CalJOBS lists all the approved training programs that are available to customers.

Contact the Center to learn how you can get the training you need for your next job.
