Businesses in Madera County have access to a number of business services that are available through the Workforce Development Board of Madera County (WDB) and our partner agencies. The focus of these services is to assist businesses to attract, train, and retain quality employees, while maximizing all available incentive programs. Recruitment & Pre-screening:
Business Specialists will work with you to locate the most qualified candidates and assist you by pre-screening applicants to your specifications.
Labor Market Information (LMI):
Business Specialists can assist you with access to employment and economic information such as industry projections, wage information, employment statistics, and job trends information.
Interview Facilities
If you prefer to interview at an off-site location, you may wish to arrange to use the facilities at the Center. We can accommodate small or large numbers of applicants at our Center. Please contact one of our Business Specialists at 559-662-4500 for more information regarding the availability of our facility.
Assessment Services
Our Business Services team can administer a variety of vocational assessments to assist with qualification and hiring decisions. Available assessments include tests of basic educational skills, occupational interest, mechanical comprehension, applied mathematics, work place documents, graphic literacy, fit, and talent. Requesting Applicants
To request applicants for a current opening in your business, please complete the on-line job order form by clicking on the link below. Once you have completed the form, you can print the form and fax it to (559) 673-1794, Attention: Business Services or submit it electronically to BusinessServices@maderaworkforce.org. A Business Specialist will contact you within one business day of receipt of the job order, to confirm that it has been received, and to gather any additional information needed to insure that referred candidates meet your requirements.
