The Madera County Workforce Investment Corporation is pleased to announce that they have selected Tracie Scott-Contreras as the new Executive Director. Tracie will be responsible for the management of the organization and act as the primary liaison to the Workforce Development Board of Madera County. Tracie is a longtime resident of Madera and has been employed in the local Workforce Development system for 33 years.  During this time she has held the positions of Operations Analyst, Manager, and Deputy Director and has, at various times, managed all program and Board functions within the organization.  In June 2018, the Madera County Workforce Investment Corporation appointed Tracie to serve as the Interim Executive Director while they conducted a search to fill the position.   The Madera County Workforce Investment Corporation (MCWIC) is the WIOA Career Services provider and administrative and fiscal agent for the local workforce development area. Upon notification of her selection, Tracie stated, “I am honored to have been chosen by the Ad Hoc Committee and the Board members of the Madera County Workforce Investment Corporation to serve our community in this new role.  I look forward to creating and expanding partnerships and implementing innovative programs that effectively serve, and support the success of, residents and businesses in Madera County.”

Tracie brings an in-depth knowledge of all Workforce related programs as well as the laws and regulations that govern them. Her long tenure with the organization demonstrates her passion and commitment to those we serve through our organization. I believe her leadership will bring innovative changes, greater awareness and increased outcomes to the services we provide to job seekers and employers in our area.
